Oh Boy! Oberto Team of the Year Program

• All teams that compete in The Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup will be eligible to earn points towards the Oh Boy! Oberto Team of the Year race

• The team that accumulates the most points over the course of the season (including the Championship) will be the Oh Boy! Oberto Team of the Year

• This is an optional program available to all competing teams

• Team members must wear the required patch on their jerseys and each team must display the required decal on their boat.

Oh Boy! Oberto Team of the Year Bonus $25,000

Team of the Year Points system
At each Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup regular season event points will be awarded in one point increments. 130 points will be awarded to the 1st place team, 129 points will be awarded to the second place team, 128 points awarded to the third place team, etc. A team must weigh in a redfish at each event in order to receive points for that event. The top 25 teams based on points earned will be eligible to compete in the no entry fee Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup Championship. In the event of a tie, the total cumulative weight from the first five tournaments will determine which team qualifies for the Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup Championship.

At Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup Championship 130 points will be awarded to the 1st place team, 125 points for second, 120 for third, etc. Teams that gain automatic entry into the Championshi from the Redfish Nation Series will not earn points and will be "skipped" for Team of the Year points. The team with the most cumulative points after the five regular season events and the championship will win the Oh Boy! Oberto Team of the Year award. The Rookie Team of the Year will be awarded based on the same point structure. A Rookie Team of the Year will be defined as a team of which neither member has ever competed in an Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup event including as an alternate. In the event of a tie for first-place, the team with the largest cumulative weight for the entire season including the Championship will be the Team of the Year. In the event of a tie for second through fifth place, the bonuses will be split between the teams.

The Oh Boy! Oberto Team of the Year bonus will be paid directly to the winners, based on the rules and regulations above, following the 2006 Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup Championship.

Patch and Decal Guidelines
Anglers that choose to participate in this program will display the specially designed decal (no smaller than 5"x5" and no larger than 8"x8") above the hull or in a highly visible position on their boat and the specially designed patch (no smaller than 3"x3" and no larger than 4"x4") on their shirt, at the letters or higher on the right or left side of their shirt, or above the elbow on the right or left sleeve during all tournament days, including on stage at all weigh-ins. Redfish Nation staff will monitor the display of patches and decals to determine compliance.
